Melissa Newman

Melissa Newman is an Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati Lindner College of Business where she teaches management courses and has served as the Director of the Business Honors program Circle of Excellence. She is the Academic Adviser for numerous campus organizations and serves on the University’s Faculty Senate. She has received the Women of Influence Award, the Great Leaders Under 40 Award, the Cincinnati Business Courier Forty Under 40, and the Cincinnati Civic Leadership Award.

Before joining the University of Cincinnati’s faculty, Melissa worked as the Executive Director of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in Southern and Central Ohio where she oversaw fundraising, budgeting, and strategic planning. Under her tenure, JDRF exceeded fundraising objectives and served 30,000 constituents impacted by Type 1 diabetes.
